Harley-Davidson Named PowerSports Extreme Digital Marketing a Dealer Digital Certified Provider (2019)
In June 2019, Harley-Davidson named PSXDigital a Dealer Digital Certified Website Provider. What was announced, and how dealers check any OEM certification.
Quick answer
In June 2019, Harley-Davidson inducted PowerSports Extreme Digital Marketing (PSXDigital) into its Dealer Digital Certified Website Provider Program. This post records that announcement as dated history, explains what an OEM website certification does and does not tell a dealer, and gives a checklist for verifying any vendor's certification before you sign.
On June 3, 2019, PowerSports Extreme Digital Marketing, Inc. (PSXDigital) announced from Houston, Texas, that it and Harley-Davidson, Inc. had entered a strategic agreement. Under it, PSXDigital was inducted into Harley-Davidson's Dealer Digital Certified Website Provider Program.
This version keeps the approved facts and quotes from that release, told as dated history. It adds what a Harley-Davidson dealer principal or general manager can use now: what an OEM website certification means, what it leaves out, and how to check a vendor's claim before you sign.
What was announced in June 2019
The release said Harley-Davidson sought PSXDigital's consolidated platform as part of its plan for continued growth. That platform was CXMAi, short for Customer Experience Management powered by AI. In 2019 it joined the dealer website, CRM, inventory management and marketing automation behind a single login.
The 2019 release listed these advantages for dealers:
- Full ownership of platform assets
- AI to support data-based sales and marketing decisions
- An inventory management suite with mobile photo capture and syndication
- Mobile-first, SEO-built custom website design
- An AI-powered CRM joined to the Automated Marketing Platform (AMP)
- Dedicated "Performance Xperts" for optimization, support and monthly success consultations
A Harley-Davidson dealer was quoted in the release. This result is dealer-reported (2019):
"We're having the best year we've ever had month-over-month, and we attribute most of that to our partnership with PSXDigital"
That was Brett Paul, General Sales Manager at Southern Devil Harley-Davidson.
Larry Bruce, then CEO of PowerSports Extreme Digital Marketing, said:
"The Harley-Davidson certified provider partnership is an important milestone for PSXDigital and our dealers. The premium brand market is competitive and H-D dealers deserve access to the highest converting platform possible. We pride ourselves in our technology and performance-first approach to building a complete Powersports dealership platform that generates more leads, more profitably and with far more efficiency for overall Powersports dealership operational success."
What an OEM website certification tells you
A certified or approved website provider is a vendor a manufacturer has accepted into its dealer digital program. Harley-Davidson's program had certified providers in 2019, and vendors were still announcing approval in 2024. Motive, for example, announced in November 2024 that it "has been approved as a Harley-Davidson Certified Website Provider through the Harley-Davidson Digital Program."
What certification does and does not mean is the part vendor announcements skip. None of the top search results for this query explains it from the dealer's side, and none tells a dealer how to check whether a vendor's approval is current. This table sets it out.
| A certification generally tells you | It does not tell you |
|---|---|
| The OEM accepted the vendor into its program at some point | That the approval is still active today |
| The vendor's sites were expected to meet the OEM's brand standards | How fast the sites load or how well they rank |
| The vendor is one of the providers dealers in the program can choose | How many leads the site will produce for your store |
| The vendor works with OEM content and branding | Contract length, exit terms or who owns your domain and content |
| How well the website connects to your CRM and follow-up |
The last column is where a dealer should spend the meeting. A certified site that sends leads into an inbox nobody watches still loses the sale.
How to verify a provider's certification
We found no public Harley-Davidson page listing its current approved providers or program rules. So the check runs through your own dealer contacts.
- Ask your OEM contact for the current approved-provider list. Your Harley-Davidson dealer contact or dealer portal is the authority, not a vendor's website or an old press release.
- Check the date on the vendor's claim. A release from 2019 proves the vendor was approved in 2019. Ask for evidence that the approval is current.
- Ask what the program requires of you. Confirm whether the dealer must enroll in the program as well as choose a certified vendor, and what that costs.
- Ask for dealer references on the same brand. Speak to a store that sells the same OEM and runs the vendor's site today.
- Get the contract terms in writing. Term length, domain and content ownership, and what happens to your site and data if you leave.
- Test the lead path. Submit a form on a site the vendor runs and see how fast, and how completely, the lead reaches the CRM.

What has changed since 2019
PSXDigital now operates as PSX Ascend. Its website product is AI-powered powersports dealer websites. The product page describes sites that connect with inventory tools, adapt across phones, tablets and desktops, and include local SEO, keyword targeting and manufacturer-specific landing pages. The sites work inside the connected PSX Ascend platform, so website activity, lead capture and sales follow-up share one context.
Some items from the 2019 list carry on under current names. AI inventory management includes a guided mobile capture workflow and syndication to supported destinations. AMP is the marketing automation service, and the AI-powered powersports CRM handles customer records and follow-up, with ALMA, the Automated Lead Management Assistant.
We could not confirm on a live official Harley-Davidson page today that PSX Ascend is a current certified website provider. Treat this post as a record of the 2019 announcement. If you sell Harley-Davidson, ask your dealer contact for the current approved list and ask PSX Ascend directly.
Vendor certification checklist
- The vendor appears on the OEM's current approved-provider list, confirmed by your OEM contact
- You know the date of the approval and whether it is still active
- You know any enrollment steps or costs the OEM program requires of the dealer
- You have spoken to a reference dealer of the same brand
- Contract term, domain ownership and exit terms are in writing
- A test lead reached your CRM complete and on time
- You have a way to measure leads and response time by source after launch
